Glyn, Richard Plumptre

History:
Sir Richard Plumptre Glyn (1786-1863) was the eldest son of Sir Richard Carr Glyn (q.v.) and the second baronet. His major contributions to the village were the restoration of the Parish Church in 1862 and the building of the new village school which was opened in 1864, the year after his death. He was unmarried and the title passed to his nephew Richard George Glyn (q.v.).
